POWER SKILLS: SELF AWARENESS, EQ, EMPATHY, VULNERABILITY & TRUST
What makes up a great leader? What are the values to guide us through our journey and take us through the crossroads? How can we foster trust and a safe environment in our teams at work? How can we become more self-aware? Leaders need to develop self-awareness and self-knowledge to better compensate for their natural tendencies and abilities as they make decisions in the workplace.
Recognizing this critical fact, this section is designed around perhaps one of the most important self-qualities of a leader: self-awareness. Self-awareness helps leaders make better choices. Effective leaders use self-awareness to manage their own behavior and relationships. By becoming more self-aware, and subsequently recognizing their strengths, weaknesses and hidden biases, leaders gain the trust of their team members and increase their own credibility. In addition to helping leaders develop professionally, self-awareness also helps them have a positive impact on the business.
